Fair play on the research. In the thread, the guy says that the game may be "both a sequel and prequel". Does this mean that it will be a sequel, with many flashbacks?
That'd be awesome if true. Either way, I'm very much looking forward to this.
It is Unreal Engine. The art direction is inspired by Bioshock - can't go wrong with that!
This will be, if all goes to plan, the best Batman video game of all time. I for one can't wait for this.
This Feb? It doesn't come out until 2011 at the very least, with the second movie being released in 2012. I don't know where you got that information from, but you're going to be very disappointed if you think it's coming out next year.
This game, on the other hand, is being released mid-January. I for one can't wait; it looks awesome.
In all honesty, it's Epic's fault. Gears of War 2 would undoubtedly be number 1 on the Xbox Live activity charts if you could actually get into a game. Unfortunately, you can't. Add to that the various online glitches, and Gears 2's multiplayer is pretty much broken. Like someone said above: if it isn't broke, don't try and fix it.
Saying that, the singleplayer campaign is easily the best I've played this generation. Just for that, I will continue to play Gears 2.
It does have splitscreen. I've pre-ordered it already - going to be such an awesome game.
Well, Gears of War 2 is one of the best games this year (if not the best), so Gears of War 3 is very much welcome. Although, the wait will undoubtedly be difficult.
What is just as interesting is that Epic is supposedly working on a horror title. Could be very interesting indeed.
Looking awesome. This has the potential to be one of 2009's best games.
Reviews and sales both suggest that Gears 2 is a significantly better game than Resistance 2. So, who really cares what IGN think?
Game looks awesome. Really awesome.
Ermmm, I don't think so.
Which got better reviews? That would be Gears of War 2.
Which games has sold more copies? That would be Gears of War 2.
Ouch. What a shame that Resistance 2 flopped.
After playing the game, I don't understand why reviewers are being so harsh on Resistance 2. Okay, so it's not as good as other shooter games coming out this year, but it's a 7 or 8/10 and should definitely be purchased by anyone with a PS3.
Holy crap. A 10/10?
I wasn't expecting L4D to be anything special - average around a 7/10, with a couple of 8/10's thrown in - but, after playing the demo, I can see why this game is getting high praise from critics. This is a prime example of how games can be simple in terms of gameplay mechanics yet still be outstanding.
This game has come out of nowhere to arguably be a strong GOTY contender.
Awesome! Map looks really good.
Matchmaking does = fail
But Gears of War's MP is most certainly not better than Gears of War 2's MP. When you actually get into a game (after about 5 hours or so), there's nothing quite like it. It makes Gears of War's MP looks mediocre to say the least.
... LOL!
If Anya doesn't get her lovelies out, it's a no sale for me.
The guy praises it throughout his (rather short) review, yet gives it a 7/10? Sorry, but that makes no sense whatsoever.
Either he made a mistake or, like Halochampion says, they just want a bit of attention.
Just a really baffling review.
That takes the piss.
Look at all the PS3 fanboys jumping on some guy's opinion that Gears 2 is a disappointment. How cute.
Sure, Gears 2 has a lower Metacritic rating than Gears of War (by just one point), but do you guys genuinely - and I mean genuinely - believe it's a worse game than the first one? If you do, you have mental issues.
But you know, you probably haven't played either because you were too busy playing... ermmm... Haze?
The demo is awesome. And with regards to the graphics, are you kidding? The graphics take a serious downgrade when playing online - that's to be expected - but did you even bother playing the singleplayer? The graphics are very pretty... nay, even stunning.
This is a day one purchase for me. I've been playing the demo constantly for 3 days now.
